Questions

What is Good Company?

An AI coach for walking and running on iPhone. You talk to it while you’re out, and it plans each session around you.

Can I talk to my coach mid-run?

Yes. Say “I need a walk” or “that felt easy”, and your coach responds. Every voice action also has a button.

Is it for beginners?

Yes. Sessions can mix walking and running, and each plan follows your goal, your recent outings and how you feel today. A few health questions come first.

Do I need an account?

No. Your workouts, plans and chat stay on your iPhone.

When can I get it, and what does it cost?

It’s coming soon to the App Store for iPhone. The price isn’t announced yet.

Why do I have to agree before the coach starts?

Your coach is an AI. To coach you, the app sends some of your information through our server to the AI providers it uses: Anthropic, TypeSafe and Speechify. The agreement explains exactly what is sent. Nothing about you is sent until you agree. Every plan, reply and cue comes from the coach, so the app can’t coach you without it. The privacy policy has the details.

What are the health questions for?

During setup, four quick questions ask about your current activity, any heart, metabolic or kidney condition a doctor has told you about, symptoms during exercise, and medicines that affect your heart rate or blood sugar. Your answers stay on your phone.

If your answers suggest it, the app recommends checking with your doctor first. This is a precaution, not a diagnosis. Your coach won’t start a session until you tell the app “A doctor has said I can exercise”. After that it starts gently. The app takes your word for it and doesn’t check.

What happens in an emergency?

The app never calls anyone or alerts anyone on its own. If you describe something serious during a workout, such as chest pain or feeling faint, your coach tells you to stop and to call emergency services. It also shows a “Call 911” button, which you or someone nearby can use. iOS asks you to confirm before it dials.

Is the coach a person? Is this medical advice?

No to both. Your coach’s plans and replies are written by AI. They can be wrong, and they are not medical advice. You decide what to do. You can change a plan, ignore a cue or stop at any time.

What if I lose signal mid-workout?

Your touch controls and the plan’s own cues keep working, and the app tells you when the coach is unavailable.

How do I export or delete my data?

Open Settings › Your data. “Export my data” makes one file of your records. “Delete my data” removes everything the app keeps on your phone and starts it again from the beginning. Workouts saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.

Can I stop the coach from speaking through Speechify?

Yes. Choose the iPhone voice in Settings, and the coach’s lines are spoken on your phone instead.
